2013 Crow Tribal Budget

NEWS FLASH!

The Budget for the 2013 Fiscal Year of the Crow Tribe was passed in 8 minutes!!!!!


All three branches, consisting of the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Branches of the Crow Government were in attendance, and all were happy with the 2013 budget, and all the Communication between the three branches led to a very successful meeting, and passing of the budget. The hard work of the Crow Tribal CPA's has paid off!!!!

Crow Tribal Legislature Meets Crow Tribal Gaming Commission.

Members of the Legislative Branch, and the Governing Body of the Apsaalooke Nights Casino, met and discussed staying in compliance and in accordance with Crow Tribal, State, Federal, and N.I.G.C(National Indian Gaming Commission,) Laws. They also discussed future plans for the Casino, and its relationship with the Crow Tribe, and its membership.

"If the Casino succeeds, the Crow people succeed." Senator Leroy Not Afraid.

"It's time for a change, we need more meetings with the legislature, for the Crow Tribe to succeed, for our children, and our childrens children." Sylvan Covers Up, Chairman of Crow Tribal Gaming Commission.

Hello Everyone! On Thursday December 20, 2012 beginning at 11:00 a.m., we will be showing our gratitude to all Crow Tribal Elders and it is imperative that all employees be in attendance to assist. Remember the elders are the pillars and respected stronghold of the community.
Location: Multi-Purpose Building

A list of the following will occur:

• Each department will decorate 1 table with 8 settings. We do encourage that gifts be provided for elders from each department, for we do not want any of them to feel left out.
• Decorating will take place on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 @ 6:00 p.m.
• Master of Ceremonies: Richard Real Bird, Corky Old Horn
• Prayer: Jerika Birdinground (opening), Ruth Alden (food), Michelle Wilson (closing)
• Entertainment: Wyola School Students singing Crow Lullaby’s, Christmas Caroling, Carlos Nomee, Robert Nomee, Joe Bear Cloud-Crow Hymns
Water Resource and Health, please keep in mind that you will be serving and because the Crow Fair Princesses will be unable to attend, please be prepared to serve as escorts.
The following is a list of what each department will be bringing:

• Stuffing-Public Works Department
• Scalloped Potatoes-Human Resources and Water Resource
• Homemade Bread- Education Department
• Yams-Economic Development Department
• Cranberries- Public Safety Department
• Pies/Cakes- Roads Department
• Drinks-Fish & Game Department and Buffalo Pasture (please divide amongst each other for Pop, Water and Coffee)**No camouflage please and dress appropriately, as you will be serving the drinks to the elders.
• Relish Tray- Health Department
• Cookie/Crackers Tray- Finance Department

I know this is very last minute, however let’s all make the best of it and make this an enjoyable day for our elders. If you have any questions, please feel free to visit with Bobbi Jo Old Coyote. Aho!
